Katherine Dunbar | CQL Director of Accreditation
Katherine Dunbar is the Director of Accreditation for CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership. Dunbar oversees all aspects of the accreditation processes from development to delivery, while providing leadership for CQL staff, developing accreditation-related resources and building relationships with CQL’s partners.
Katherine has over 20 years of experience in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, holding various positions in organizational leadership and overseeing hundreds of people in multiple states. Prior to serving as Director of Accreditation, Katherine was a CQL Quality Enhancement Specialist, providing accreditation, monitoring, evaluation, training and consultation to human service organizations.
Katherine is experienced in the use of Personal Outcome Measures® and assisting people in writing person-centered plans based on what really matters in their lives. She is also experienced in using Basic Assurances® for strategic planning, as well as the implementation of organizational systems and practices. Katherine led her previous organization in attaining multiple successful accreditations by CQL. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
