Honor a DSP • Submit a Story

Each year, Direct Support Professional Recognition Week is dedicated to showing DSPs how much we value and appreciate their work to ensure people with disabilities are included in the community. This year, CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership is partnering with ANCOR and the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) to mark the occasion!

To celebrate the 2019 DSP Recognition Week, which occurs from September 8th through September 14th, CQL, ANCOR, and NADSP are encouraging people receiving supports, provider organizations, and staff to recognize excellence in direct support. We are looking for stories about Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are using CQL's Personal Outcome Measures® and/or NADSP's Code of Ethics / Competency Areas, to help people achieve their personally-defined outcomes. If your story is selected, it will be shared on CQL, ANCOR, and NADSP website and social media pages. You will be able to preview the story prior to it being published online. In 2018, these success stories highlighted numerous DSPs who are supporting people to reach their goals.

* Stories need to clearly demonstrate the use of CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures® and/or NADSP's Code of Ethics/Competency Areas, and must be submitted before 8/23/19.
