2019 CQL Conference: Dare To Dream
The journey of CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership began in 1969 to establish a new and innovative approach to understanding, assessing, and improving quality. This year we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and there is no better event than The 2019 CQL Conference to look back on our past, reflect on the present, and especially look forward to the future.
The 2019 CQL Conference: Dare To Dream will use the previous 50 years to create context and perspective for where the human services field is going in the decades ahead. We will be exploring best practices to improve the quality of services, and in turn, the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, psychiatric disabilities, older adults, and youth.

About the 'Dare To Dream' Theme
“Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true.” This is a lyric in the time-honored classic ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow,’ from The Wizard of Oz. It embodies messages of hope, optimism, and accomplishment. These messages parallel philosophies and practices of CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership. The logo of CQL was designed with The Wizard of Oz in mind, as the ‘swoosh’ behind the letters C-Q-L represents the journey of the yellow brick road. When human service providers partner with CQL to pursue organizational transformation, it certainly is a journey.
