Personal Outcome Measures® are used to define, measure and improve personal quality of life and move organizations and their workforce towards person-centered excellence.
Now with the use of eLearning technology, we are able to bring this valuable material to more organizations and staff committed to a person-centered approach to service delivery.
This series of 8 eLearning courses lays the foundation for a deeper understanding of the personal outcomes approach, identifies and explains the 21 personal outcomes across service settings, and explores the practical use of personal outcomes. These courses build knowledge and skills to:
• Learn about the goals and priorities of the people you support
• Design plans for individual support that target personal priorities
• Enhance organizational planning
• Use person-centered quality management systems
Each course works as a stand-alone learning opportunity. For those interested in developing more in-depth knowledge and skills, the courses can be taken as a series. Some introductory information is covered briefly in each course to ensure that the learner is benefiting from a common base of understanding of the fundamental principles personal outcomes approach.
These courses provide an introduction for staff that are new to personal outcomes and can be used as an orientation for new staff and a component of staff development. Learners can come back to these courses for reinforcement and refresher throughout their career.
